I am interested in the study of bacteria as well as the development of techniques for the control of bacterial pathogens. Specifically, I investigate the pathogen Brucella canis and vaccinal candidates against the disease caused by this agent.
In addition, I participate in projects related to the phytopathogen Xylella fastidiosa, its characterization and the study of the host-pathogen relationship. As tools, I make use of molecular biology techniques, bioinformatics as well as classical microbiology methods.
